History 

Dehradun was established by the senior child of seventh Sikh Guru Har Rai, Guru Ram Rai. As the name proposes to Guru Ram Rai's Dera or camp in the waterway valley, and supporting this camp (Settlement) is a Darbar, which is known as 'Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar', set up in the year 1699, and displayed by the renowned burial place of Mughal Great Jahangir.
