Chopta Uttarakhand is an Unexplored Beauty

Uttarakhand is the upcoming tourism state of India. There are many places which has been still unseen. One of them is Chopta, also called Mini Switzerland of India. Here the forest is known for its rich variety of flowers, wild animals and thousands of species of birds.Trekking and camping in Chopta Valley are the best activities. Tungnath, the highest peak in Panch Kedar, is 3.5 km from Chopta, and Chandrasela is an additional distance of 1.5 km away. Chandrasela Garhwal is one of the most popular trek in the Himalayas. It is located 4,000 meters above sea level.

Tungnath, Lord Shiva's 1000 year temple is just 3 kms away from Chopta. Lord Shiva devotees come here for 'Panch Kedar Darshan'. Chopta is well connected to Uttarakhand National Highway 58 and 109. It is easily accessible as it is located on the road from Gopeshwar, only 39 km away from Gopeshwar from Gopeshwar. You can reach the Chopta by taxi. The nearest airport is Dehradun and the railway station is Rishikesh. After that someone can travel by bus / taxi which takes about 5-6 hours to reach Chopta.
