Uttarakhand is the upcoming tourism state of India. There are many places which has been still unseen. One of them is Chopta, also called Mini Switzerland of India. Chopta is a sanctuary area with picturesque beauty, in which there are flowers and small flowers blooming in different colors. Chopta is situated at 2,500 meters above sea level, which is covered during snow and winter. Chopta's pleasant climate attracts people here and tourists are visit at all the time 365 days. Chopta gives you a beautiful view of the snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas from here. Tourists come here every year, although the winter cools down and snowfall is enjoyed during the winter peak.

Chopta has another place which is popular tourist sites as well as Deoria rhythm lake. Deoria Tal Lake offers exciting surroundings, from which you can see the great peak locations of forests and Chaukhamba, Neelkanth. Chandrasela is the highest point of the mountain. People come here for trekking and camping. Here the forest is known for its rich variety of flowers, wild animals and thousands of species of birds.Trekking and camping in Chopta Valley are the best activities. Tungnath, the highest peak in Panch Kedar, is 3.5 km from Chopta, and Chandrasela is an additional distance of 1.5 km away. Chandrasela Garhwal is one of the most popular trek in the Himalayas. It is located 4,000 meters above sea level.

Tungnath, Lord Shiva's 1000 year temple is just 3 kms away from Chopta. Lord Shiva devotees come here for 'Panch Kedar Darshan'. Chopta is well connected to Uttarakhand National Highway 58 and 109. It is easily accessible as it is located on the road from Gopeshwar, only 39 km away from Gopeshwar from Gopeshwar. You can reach the Chopta by taxi. The nearest airport is Dehradun and the railway station is Rishikesh. After that someone can travel by bus / taxi which takes about 5-6 hours to reach Chopta. There are good hotels in Chopta which provide good accommodation and extra activities like yoga, bon fires, camping etc. at affordable prices.
